Helmets
Blessing Parras 2009
In this fourth edition, the organization of the ceremony began four months
earlier, Motoclub meetings are few, the action moves to the meetings with the
Board (By the way very good excuse to ride a motorcycle). These are held once a
month and participate Jesus Martinez From Hotel Rincón del Montero, Claudia
Madero from OCV, Mrs. Ana Lidia's from Restaurant La Hacienda, Roberto Chavez of
the candy factory Chavez, State Tourism Secretary Sergio Peimbert, Benjamin
Fuentes from the local radio station, the City Clerk, and in recent sessions,
the city Mayor. By nomadas MC attended at different times Arturo Valdez, Jesús
Graciano, Enrique Martinez and Jose Chavira. Here it is moment to tell a
story. Was the last meeting, each committee reported that work had been
entrusted, had all worked in a remarkable way. At that moment I asked to speak (inside
the joy washed over me and I was very excited about these accomplishments) and
more or less these were my words "Mr. Mayor, taking advantage of its presence at
this meeting, I venture to suggest that the next meeting of council, you propose
that one of the Parras street bearing the name of Jesus Martinez, (pause)
preferably te street than passing the front of the Hotel Rincón del Montero. The
laughter from the attendees was unanimous and finally adding "I think we deserve
applause for these achievements do not believe?" And so with applause and
laughter we left wishing that this issue was better than the last. Back in
Laguna the Nomadas MC who attended this last meeting, going on our bikes in
front of Casa Madero, I'm sure everyone turned to his left to see the empty
booth, but their minds were full of joy and satisfaction.
And not to lose the habit, again we went with Marco, to seek their support
through AMODEN , and again his support decided (I think that if the council does
not approve the name of Jesus Martinez would be good to move the Marco Zamudio
am very insurance approval, because Marco is originally from Parras!
By early January 2009, the rooms of almost all hotels were booked and Parras few
days before the event, I asked the Hotel del Chuy Martinez Montero, if we could
see in your compu. The origin of the reservations, if clear answer, to what end?
Chuy wonder, just to see if the promotions were made abroad were unsuccessful,
he said, but only report the "tonnes" and the phone of the future host, said
Chuy, no matter what I answered with "lada" we. Well let's see, um, these are
more mmmm Monterrey, 915 cries, do not know, if I told you, is from El Paso,
Texas .... Mmm here is another 956 Laredo Texas .. And this one 512 ... Austin
Texas, as they did ? Ask Chuy, Chuy doing our job, I replied. The truth is that
we had visited these cities. In El Paso Texas breakfast with a group of
independent riders in Laredo invite the "Loud" and the "Harley" in that city,
our good friend Cristina made us the favor of placing a poster of the event at
the door.In Austin's invitation to motorcyclists were made independent for ROT
Rally 2008 (the event was being internationalized).
This time something happened that never happened to any event of this type. For Saturday the hotel looked crowded, no beds, no rooms more. Visitors who had not been prepared with reservations or not carrying camping equipment began to despair, some of them thought about going home.
Someone whose name I do not remember speaking to the radio station of the city
by inviting the people to open their doors to the bikers who had no rooms. So
Without wasting, people who had some free room, announced their desire to
receive visitors at home. Them could find accommodate those who could to see
placed in front of the houses a small white flag. These accommodations were free
from symbolic to actual amounts, which also helped the people to capture a bit
of cash for their expenses.

In this event, the organization started off as planned within the patronato:
camping areas in this respect is invaluable participation of the vultures Nabor Desert (Chapter Parras) , which managed camping areas, both for its own Motoclub, independent groups and visitors of the State of Chihuahua. Today Nabor has been invited to participate in the patronage to be responsible for organizing the camping areas at the forthcoming 2010 edition.

By 8:00 pm the 1800 cast recording visitors, missing those who had registered online, and those who arrive in the morning. At the same time initiating the meeting of "ice breaking" at the Convention Center. Everything there was a party, mingled with the roar of motorcycles could be heard the strains of rock music from the 60's and 70's which came from a very good set of Torreon (courtesy of Rincon Montero). The stands exhibited regional sweets, homemade wines, leather goods and so on. And for the first time motorcycles were exhibited Polaris brand. But the party was not only there, if not all Parras, the square "Clock" did not keep up with the sale of sausages, the sale of this food lasted till four on Sunday morning and that's because it exhausted ingredients (in the cart? No, Parras).

Nomadas MC, Parras Autorities and AMODEN |
The Sunday morning dawned smelling Parras often outside the restaurants were
seen motorcycles parked. At 7:00 am inside the restaurant La Hacienda, the
Nomads enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by Mrs. Lydia's owner, and so
talking that way and "sopeando" we gave the final "touches" at Sunday's ceremony:
Henry, Paco, two Oscars and John would be responsible for the reception and
accommodation of motorcyclists at Casa Madero.
Chuy Graciano and David Garcia of getting water for the blessing, build the
altar and get the traditional "branches" to spread the water.
Ronnie, between sips of coffee, which would review the message that day.

More style in this year |
Charles and Pearl for the fourth time would be the makers of video and photography (this was the second time that the town provided a lift for taking pictures and videos at a higher altitude).
And here's a story
to tell: |
At 3:00 pm the Nomads invited to eat the priest Verdin, who complained (as gay
of course) the effort that means so much motorcycle blessing.
On Monday morning we see the participating motorcyclists record 3506 !!!!!
